What is a solid block actually for?
Foundations, retaining walls and other high-load or below-grade applications where maximum density is required.
Can I use solid blocks above ground?
Yes, though solid blocks are most commonly specified for foundations, retaining walls and other high-load applications given their density and cost. For standard walls, our hollow blocks are more economical.
How many do I need per square metre?
The block face is 450 by 225 millimetres, which works out at about 10 blocks for every square metre of wall once mortar joints are counted, before you add anything for breakage. Send us your wall measurements and we will do the count with you.
What is the minimum order and how fast can I get it?
From a few hundred blocks upward. Common sizes are in continuous production so they usually move quickly, and you get a firm delivery date on your price before you pay anything.
