Questions about cement bricks
How is a cement brick different from a hollow block?
A cement brick is a smaller, solid walling unit for general building work, where a hollow block is larger and lighter with voids through it. Bricks suit general walls and infill, blocks suit speed over large wall areas.
Where are they best used?
General walls, housing and commercial infill. At 7 N per square millimetre with uniform curing, you get predictable strength across the whole order rather than a batch that varies.
Are they cheaper than blocks?
Per square metre they are usually the lowest cost walling option we make, which is why they get used on volume housing. Tell us your wall area and we will price both so you can compare properly.
Can I order a large volume on a schedule?
Yes. Give us the programme and we produce to it, so materials reach site as your bricklayers get to that stage instead of sitting exposed for weeks.
